A chemical supply partner built on specification, documentation and delivery

Chelora Chemicals is a chemical sourcing and supply company based in Indonesia. We connect manufacturing plants, formulators, traders and distributors across the world with the intermediates, commodities, polymers and excipients their processes depend on — and we take responsibility for the parts of the transaction that usually go wrong.

01 — Who We Are

A sourcing company that behaves like a supply department

We are not a listings site and not a broker who disappears after the order lands. We take ownership of the enquiry from the first message until the material clears at your end.

Chelora Chemicals operates from Indonesia as a chemical trading and supply business serving both the domestic market and export customers worldwide. Our work sits between the plants that manufacture industrial chemistry and the plants that consume it: we identify dependable production sources, agree a written specification with the buyer, manage packing and documentation to export standard, and move the consignment to the destination port on agreed commercial terms.

The company was built around a frustration that anyone in procurement will recognise. Industrial chemicals are rarely difficult to find — they are difficult to buy well. An enquiry goes unanswered for a week. A quoted purity turns out not to match the certificate that arrives with the drums. Packing fails somewhere between the plant and the port. A container sits at customs because one document was missing or a classification was wrong. None of these are chemistry problems. They are process problems, and they are the ones we set out to solve.

Our product basket is wide on purpose. Our process is narrow on purpose — the same specification, documentation and delivery discipline applies to every grade we handle.

What we supply spans aniline and its chloro, nitro, fluoro and alkyl derivatives; nitro and chloro benzene intermediates; aliphatic, cyclic and fatty amines together with the full ethanolamine and isopropanolamine family; commodity petrochemicals and aromatics; polymers and engineering resins; industrial and electronic-grade solvents and glycols; dye and pigment intermediates including hard-to-source legacy products; pharmacopoeial-grade excipients and key starting materials; and inorganic and basic chemicals for sulphonation, nitration and general process use.

That breadth exists for a practical reason. A single formulation plant may need a specialty intermediate in drum quantities, a commodity solvent in flexi-tank loads and a polymer grade in full container loads — three different sourcing problems, three different packing regimes, three different sets of paperwork. Splitting that across three suppliers multiplies the chances that one of them fails. Consolidating it gives you one point of contact, one quotation format, one documentation standard and, where routes allow, one shipment.

We work with manufacturers, formulators, contract manufacturers, traders and regional distributors. Some buy a trial drum once a year. Others run repeat container programmes on contract or indexed pricing. The treatment does not change with the order value: a clear written offer, an agreed specification, a complete document set and a committed delivery window.

02 — Purpose

Why the company exists

Our tagline — Solutions for a Brighter Tomorrow — is about dependability more than ambition. Industrial chemistry only reaches the end user if the supply chain behind it holds.

MISSION

Make chemical procurement predictable

To remove the uncertainty from buying industrial chemicals — by agreeing specifications in writing, preparing documentation before it is asked for, and giving honest answers on availability, lead time and price rather than the answer the buyer wants to hear.

VISION

A single window buyers can rely on

To be the supply partner that plants across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas keep on their approved vendor list — not because we are the cheapest line on a comparison sheet, but because our consignments arrive as described.

COMMITMENT

Say what is true, early

If a grade is not available, if a market has moved against the buyer, or if a product is restricted at the destination, we say so before the order is confirmed. Bad news delivered early is a cost. Bad news delivered late is a loss.

03 — What We Do

Six things we take off your desk

A purchase order is the easy part. These are the stages where chemical supply actually succeeds or fails, and where our work concentrates.

S—01

Sourcing and vendor vetting

We identify production sources capable of holding the specification consistently, not just once. Capacity, batch consistency, packing capability and documentation practice are all assessed before a plant enters our supply base — and reassessed when performance slips.

S—02

Specification management

Assay, moisture, residue, colour, particle size, melting range — whichever parameters matter to your process are written into the offer before the PO is raised. What you approved is what the certificate has to show on arrival.

S—03

Packing and preservation

Packing is chosen for the product and the voyage, not for convenience: UN-approved drums, lined and laminated bags, fibre drums for excipients, IBCs, jumbo bags, liner-protected containers, flexi-tanks and ISO tanks for bulk liquids.

S—04

Export logistics

Booking, consolidation, load planning and route selection across LCL, FCL, flexi-tank and ISO tank movements, on FOB, CFR, CIF, DAP or Ex-Works terms depending on where you want the handover to sit.

S—05

Compliance and classification

Hazard classification, UN packing group identification, GHS labelling, dangerous goods declarations, HS code support and destination-country restriction checks — handled before the container is booked, not after it sails.

S—06

Communication after the sale

Loading photographs, digital document sets couriered and emailed, vessel tracking and a named contact who responds when a schedule slips. Most supply relationships break down over silence, not over price.

04 — How We Work

The operating principles behind every order

These are not aspirations on a wall. They are the rules the desk follows, and they are the reason buyers come back.

  1. Nothing is confirmed on assumption

Grade, specification, packing, quantity, Incoterm and destination are written down and acknowledged by both sides before the order is placed. Verbal understanding is where disputes begin.

  2. Quote with real numbers

Our quotations reflect actual availability and actual cost at the time of writing. We do not issue a placeholder price to hold a conversation open and revise it once you have committed internally.

  3. Start small if you want to

Most specialty grades are available as a trial drum or part load. We would rather you qualify the material at low risk than commit to a container on the strength of a datasheet.

  1. Documentation travels ahead of the cargo

Pre-shipment COAs are shared for approval on specialty grades. The full document set is prepared upfront so the consignment is not held at the destination over a missing certificate.

  2. Raise restrictions before, not after

Permit requirements, import licences and destination-country controls are checked at the enquiry stage. A restricted product discovered at the port is the buyer's problem to solve and ours to have prevented.

  3. One contact, start to finish

The person who quotes your enquiry stays with it through production, packing, loading and shipment. You are not handed between departments, and you are not re-explaining your requirement.

Availability of any specific format or term depends on the product, the origin plant and the regulations in force at the destination. Confirmed against each enquiry.

07 — Quality & Responsibility

Specification first, shipment second

Quality in a trading business is not a laboratory claim. It is a chain of decisions about who you buy from, what you write down and what you verify before material moves.

Q—01

Documented at batch level

We work with manufacturing partners operating under recognised quality systems and share batch-wise certificates of analysis against the agreed specification. Your incoming QC team should be able to check the certificate line by line against what was approved at the offer stage — and if a parameter drifts, it is raised with you before dispatch rather than discovered at goods-in.

Q—02

Hazard handling taken seriously

A significant part of our basket is hazardous or regulated. Classification, UN packing group identification, GHS-compliant labelling and dangerous goods declarations are prepared as part of the order process. Packing is matched to the hazard class, and loading is documented photographically so condition at origin is never in dispute.

Q—03

Safe and lawful movement

Every destination has its own controls — permits, import licences, restricted substance lists and quantity thresholds. We check these at the enquiry stage. Where a product cannot lawfully be supplied into a market, we say so and, where one exists, propose a compliant alternative rather than leaving the buyer to find out at the port.

Q—04

Responsibility beyond the invoice

Chemicals carry obligations that do not end when payment clears. We supply safety data in English with every consignment, label to GHS, support correct HS classification and keep records of what shipped against which specification, so a question raised months later can still be answered from file.

  • Batch-wise COA
  • Pre-shipment samples
  • GHS labelling
  • MSDS in English
  • UN-approved packaging
  • Third-party inspection on request
  • HS code support
  • REACH & regional guidance
  • Loading photographs

10 — Why Chelora

What changes when you move the order to us

The honest version: we are not always the lowest quotation on the sheet. What we offer is a lower probability that something goes wrong after you commit.

The common problemHow we handle it
Enquiries sit unanswered for days while production waits.Acknowledged the same working day, quoted within 24 hours wherever the stock position allows.
Quoted purity does not match the certificate that arrives.Specification agreed in writing before the PO, pre-shipment COA shared for approval, third-party inspection on request.
Packing fails in transit and material is lost or contaminated.Export-grade packing matched to product and voyage, with loading documented photographically.
Customs holds the container over paperwork.Full document set prepared upfront, including origin certificate, DG declaration and HS classification support.
A container is too big a first commitment on an unproven grade.Trial drums and part loads on most specialty products before any volume commitment.
Three suppliers for three categories, three sets of problems. One consolidated window across nine categories, with combined shipments where co-loading permits.
Prices move and costing cannot be held.Contract and indexed pricing options for repeat buyers, with candid guidance when a market turns.
A product turns out to be restricted at the destination.Restrictions, permits and licensing checked and flagged before the order is confirmed.

11 — For Manufacturers

Produce a chemical? We are always adding supply partners

Our supply base grows by adding plants that hold specification consistently and document properly. If you manufacture any of the intermediates, solvents, polymers or excipients in our range — or something adjacent to it — share your product, capacity and specification and our sourcing team will come back to you. We review capacity, batch consistency, packing capability and compliance documentation before onboarding.

12 — About Us FAQ

Questions buyers ask before they start

If what you need to know is not here, the sales desk will answer it directly rather than send you a brochure.

What exactly does Chelora Chemicals do?

We are a chemical sourcing and supply company based in Indonesia. We source industrial chemicals, intermediates, polymers, solvents and pharmaceutical excipients from vetted manufacturing plants, agree the specification with the buyer in writing, manage packing and export documentation, and deliver to the destination on agreed commercial terms. We supply the domestic Indonesian market and export worldwide.

Are you a manufacturer or a supplier?

We are a supplier and sourcing partner, not a producer. We work with manufacturing plants that hold specification consistently and handle the commercial, documentation and logistics layer between those plants and the buyer. That independence lets us select the right origin for each grade rather than pushing whatever a single plant happens to produce.

Why is the company based in Indonesia?

Indonesia sits on one of the world's busiest shipping corridors and has an established petrochemical, oleochemical and basic chemical base. That combination gives access to production and to outbound routes serving South and Southeast Asia, East Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Oceania.

What product categories do you cover?

Nine: aniline and aniline derivatives, nitro and chloro benzenes, amines and ethanolamines, petrochemicals and aromatics, polymers and resins, solvents and glycols, pharmaceutical excipients and intermediates, dye and pigment intermediates, and inorganic and basic chemicals. The working catalogue is on the products page.

How do you select the plants you buy from?

We assess capacity, batch-to-batch consistency, packing capability and documentation practice before a plant enters our supply base, and we reassess when performance slips. A source that cannot hold the specification or cannot produce clean paperwork is not a saving, whatever the price.

Can I start with a small quantity?

Yes. Most specialty grades are available as a trial drum or part load so your QC team can qualify the material before you commit to container volumes. Commodity solvents, glycols and polymers are more typically supplied in full container loads, flexi-tanks or ISO tanks for economic reasons.

What documentation comes with a shipment?

Certificate of analysis, material safety data sheet, technical data sheet, commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin as standard. For hazardous goods we add the dangerous goods declaration and GHS-compliant labelling, along with HS classification support. Documents are shared digitally and couriered.

Do you handle hazardous and regulated materials?

Yes. Classification, UN packing group identification, GHS labelling and dangerous goods documentation are part of the order process, and destination-country restrictions and permit requirements are confirmed before an order is finalised rather than after loading.

Which commercial and payment terms do you work on?

FOB, CFR, CIF, DAP and Ex-Works on the delivery side. Letter of credit at sight and telegraphic transfer are standard on payment, with terms negotiable for repeat buyers holding an established order history. Everything is confirmed in writing on the proforma invoice.

Can you consolidate several products into one shipment?

Yes, where the products are compatible for co-loading and the destination country permits it. Consolidation across categories is one of the main reasons buyers move multiple lines onto a single supplier.

How quickly will I get a quotation?

Enquiries are acknowledged the same working day and most are quoted within 24 hours where the stock position allows. Send the product name or CAS number, quantity, preferred packing, destination port and target Incoterm through the contact page to get a firm offer fastest.

I manufacture chemicals — can I supply through you?

Yes. Submit your product, capacity and specification through the list your product page. Our sourcing team reviews capacity, specification and compliance documentation before onboarding a new manufacturing partner.
